Hormones: The Fight Continues

Help us defend bioidentical hormone replacement therapy from an FDA ban. Action Alert!
We at ANH-USA have been keeping a close watch over the FDA’s ongoing process to regulate customized, natural medicines made at compounding pharmacies. Time and time again throughout this process, we’ve seen the FDA ban safe, natural ingredients from being used in compounded medicines that patients rely on—and soon bioidentical hormones like estriol, progesterone, and testosterone may be added to the list. It is up to us to defend these important medicines from FDA intrusion.
As you may recall, bioidentical hormones have been nominated to the FDA’s Demonstrably Difficult to Compound List; items that appear on the list when it is final will no longer be able to be made at compounding pharmacies.
It will shock no one that the FDA appears biased against compounded bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), as they compete with FDA-approved hormones made by pharmaceutical companies. The efforts of ANH members and the natural health community, however, produced a qualified victory: due to the overwhelming response from patients urging the FDA not to ban compounded BHRT, the FDA asked the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) to evaluate the “clinical utility” of compounded BHRT. We think the real goal of the NASEM study is to give the FDA cover when they eventually ban these hormones, but it is at least a sign that the FDA is not immune to pressure from the natural health community.
NASEM has conducted several public meetings to date on compounded BHRT. During these meetings, the FDA invites experts to present to the NASEM panel, and to us it seems that the FDA is stacking the deck against compounded BHRT. What’s also clear is that the NASEM committee members lack a fundamental understanding of how compounded BHRT is used to treat menopause, meaning that committee members are susceptible to the FDA’s bias.
During one of the meetings, however, Dr. Rosensweet, a BHRT expert and advocate, was allowed to present—for just five minutes. Even in such a short time, Dr. Rosensweet was able to turn the tide and offer compelling evidence for compounded BHRT.
We must use every tool at our disposal to protect compounded hormones, which means getting Dr. Rosensweet more time and opportunities to present to the FDA and NASEM. Approximately 2.5 million women rely on compounded BHRT annually; we cannot allow the FDA to plow forward unchecked with a ban on compounded hormones. (You can read our previous coverage to see why so many women choose compounded BHRT over FDA-approved drugs.)
Action Alert! Write to the FDA and NASEM, asking them to allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative. Please send your message immediately.

  1. I rely on my choice for my body. It should be a decision between my provider and myself after checking out all the options. I love my bio identical hormones.

  2. I urge you to allow Dr. Rosensweet more time and opportunities to present to the FDA and NASEM regarding bioidentical hormones made at compounding pharmacies.. Approximately 2.5 million women rely on compounded BHRT annually. His testimony is of paramount importance. I am strongly opposed to the FDA placing a ban on compounded hormones.

  3. I have used bio-identical hormones due to the risks of breast cancer associated with synthetic HRT. It was following a surgery that removed my entire female reproductive system and the compounding pharmacy worked with my women’s doctor (also the surgeon who performed the aforementioned procedure) and they were effective in reducing symptoms and helping regain my footing and feel like myself again.

  4. BHRT is a life saving treatment for me. I am outraged that BHRT is being repeatedly targeted by the FDA. This safe and effective treatment that my doctor provides is not optional. It is required to maintain my health, vitality and energy. Please please stop this war on natural medicine!

  6. I want and need this control over my own body, my own health, my own intelligent decisions for my life PLEASE! Why must we be subjected to pharmaceutical companies and a “one size fits all ” prescription ? I want the choice of using compounded BHRT for my body. I have this right.

  7. Please allow Dr Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRTn to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative

  8. hi there wonderful people. i wish you included a link to post these actions on Facebook. facebook is horrid but a way to get the word out.
i know they are creepy, no taking over so much, horrid spys in on stuff with those that grow the worst that humans can be and whose low self esteem and voracious insatiable emptimess are destroying the Earth with their actions.
still getting the word out is a must and i don’t know how to put it on facebook without you giving me a button to push with it already set.
also can you make it so the form i fill out remembers me so i dont have to fill it in every time i come back?
I appreciate you so much. sad scary living i want to stop the behavior of these people with an open heart, no malice just stop them
the story of Buddha in one of his life times on a ship, 500 people, one wanted to kill all, sink the ship, buddha decided the current moment called for killing him to save all and save the man from the horrid karma of killing all those people. killing isn’t the answer but stopping behavior without moral judgment or righteousness just because the situation calls for it…but how to stop these sick people destroying all? i continue to practice meditation to not grow what they are growing, to grow the goodness we all have but have to choose to grow. sigh. thank you

  9. I have taken bio identical hormones for many years and have no problems with it. I am pretty healthy at age 79. And from what I understand they are better than taking the pharmaceutical brands. And safer. I would not want the bioidentical hormonesto be abandoned just to help the greedy pharmaceutical companies. And according to the Life Extension company, who does a LOT of research the bioidentical appear to help women to live longer. Please get all the information you can before making a decision.

  10. I respectfully ask that Dr. Rosensweet be granted sufficient time to cover the topic of BHRT thouroughly so that patients like myself can continue with regular BHRT treatment. My doctor (Md.) establishes the level of BHRT required by regular blood tests, which are very thorough and effective. I have been under his care for 15 years and am completely confident with the treatments with no adverse effects. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet the opportunity to expound on this subject as it is very important to many patients like myself. I thank you in advance for your consideration.

  11. Please protect compounded hormones. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compound BHRT to counterbalance FDA’s biased narrative. Thank you.

  12. Those of us who take compounded formulas prescriptions see results, when taking a substitute is like taking a sugar pill. These kinds of prescriptions need to be protected from big pharma and the FDA.

  13. We must use every tool at our disposal to protect compounded hormones, which means getting Dr. Rosensweet more time and opportunities to present to the FDA and NASEM.

  14. I am unable to metabolize synthetic drugs of any type due to genetic methylation defects. Without bioidentical hormone replacement could not function, become more chronically ill than I already am, and my quality of life would take a serious hit. As it is I struggle to get by each and every day. To ban these natural products that are well tolerated, have no side effects and helps millions of women wold be an insult and nothing more than a political move. Please do not be so heartless and consider the science not the industry.

  15. I am healthier than any of my peers. Of course I follow a healthy diet and exercise program. But I believe the critical difference is that I use bio-identical hormones. I am never sick, use NO MEDiCINES, and have no health issues and medical bills.
How much could we save on healthcare if we promoted this regimen?

  16. Bio-identical hormones have been helping women for a long time. They are safer than other hormones.
There is no LEGITIMATE reason to limit them. So limiting them just means “Follow the Money”.
Time to stop putting money other people’s lives!

  17. I believe patients and the public have the right to choose whether to use Pharmaceuticals or natural products. There is nothing particularly safe about any pharmaceutical drug including NSAIDS and Tylenol.

  18. Estriol compounded vaginal cream has been treating fragile tissue, healing it and preventing further broken and bleeding tissue. I am so thankful and good product from the compounding pharmacy. I am a retired healthcare professional RN and research the available options and study medical literature .

  19. I use bioidentical progesterone compounded locally. It is helping to give me back my life… more energy, weight loss, better mood, etc… all of which diminished at menopause. I WILL NEVER USE A PHARMACEUTICAL HORMONE!!! The side effects are too great and I don’t approve of animal testing and the ethics of pharmaceutical companies.
Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative. My quality of life, and the lives of millions of other women, depend on the availability of bioidentical hormones.
    Thanks!

  20. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative.

  21. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative.

  22. I just started using estrogen quench instead of prescription hormone blockers. I haven’t had any time to see if it really works for me but my friend has been using it longer and has been cancer free for over 2 years.

  23. I am 72 years old now, used bio-identical hormones when I went thru menopause. I refused to take FDA approved drugs and am very glad I did my own research. Very healthy now!

  24. Compounding is a safe and specific way for hormone replacement therapy for each unique individual. Patients who successfully treat their hormone imbalances with compounded prescriptions will be unnecessarily punished if denied access.

  25. I use bio-identical hormone cream made by a compound pharmacy. For those who have forgotten the research finding several years ago, that artificial hormones were causing blood clots in women who were using these HRT’s. Please stop harassing compound pharmacies and allow women to continue to obtain bio-identical hormones!

  26. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounding pharmacy BHRT.

  27. Help us defend bioidentical hormone replacement therapy from an FDA ban.

  28. SHAME on the FDA! You continue to sell yourself to the corporate leeches!

  29. I have used compounded testosterone containing small amounts of progesterone and DHEA and my wife has used compounded estrodial estrone for four and a half years. We have our hormones checked every six months. Today at the fitness center another member remarked they my wife and look ten years younger than our chronological ages. We attribute that to our use of bioidentical hormones.

  30. I have used bio identical hormones with zero problem and with much relief of symptoms for more than 10 years. I support having bio- identical hormones freely available to women who need them.

  31. I believe that compounded bioidentical hormones may have saved my life. Some people cannot take the usual pharmaceuticals – whether because of sensitivity to other ingredients, or because the dosage or the actual substance does not work in the individual. Please consider the needs of the people who need bioidentical hormonal replacement.

  32. I rely on bioidentical hormones, and am thankful that there is a natural remedy to my estrogen deficiency. Please do not take this away from me, as I will not take pharmaceuticals.

  33. Compounded bioidentical hormones are again in jeopardy of becoming inaccessible. In 2007, American women successfully blocked the FDA proposed ban on compounded estriol, with an overwhelming number of communications to Congress. Now we need your help to achieve this level of action again!
The FDA recently tasked and funded the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) to evaluate the “clinical utility” of compounded BHRT. NASEM has conducted several public meetings to date on compounded BHRT. The Committee designated experts to present to the NASEM panel.
However, many hours of testimony before the Committee were assigned to presenters who either oppose compounding and bioidentical hormone therapy entirely, or who represented uncommon (and therefore suspect) administration methods of compounded bioidentical hormone therapy.
Daved Rosensweet, M.D., is a BHRT expert and advocate. During one of the meetings, he was allowed to present— for just five minutes. Even in such a short time, Dr. Rosensweet was able to offer compelling evidence for the value and uses of compounded BHRT.
Dr. Rosensweet’s opinion is that the NASEM Committee members lack a fundamental understanding of how compounded BHRT is properly used to treat menopause. Lack of knowledge and experience leaves Committee members vulnerable to the torrent of misinformation and bias that they have received.
We must get Dr. Rosensweet more time to present to the NASEM Committee. Approximately 2.5 million women benefit from compounded BHRT annually, accounting for one half of all women who are being treated with hormones in menopause. We must stop the FDA from plowing forward unchecked, and restricting or even eliminating our access to compounded bioidentical hormones.

  34. Have they no compassion for the number of people that are help thru hormone replacement therapy! I take Bio identical hormones and am much better off for it!

  35. It is, or should be, already common knowledge that the FDA is NO ONE’S friend but their own or whatever or whoever will feather their nests. It’s also common knowledge, or should be, that the drugs they advertise on television as allegedly “safe” are NOT in fact safe at all, but are followed by a multitude of symptoms and even death. Then shortly after that comes an ad for a law firm asking if any of the audience has ever taken the drug advertised and suffered severe consequences and/or death, their surviving loved ones may be entitled to substantial compensation. Wow! How f$%king dare you try to ban BHRT simply because you haven’t yet figured out how to get a slice of the pie. The FDA is comprised of vile and depraved individuals who are going to go straight to hell – and the sooner the better!

  36. I have been using compounded BHRT for many years. My pharmacist is extremely careful in preparing the compound. The compounded BHRT, which is clinically matched to my hormonal needs, prevents me from having night sweats, hot flashes, and just feeling uncomfortable. DO NOT TAKE AWAY MY OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE COMPOUNDED BHRT. You have NO RIGHT to do so. This is a land of liberty and we should have MEDICAL FREEDOM. DO NOT TREAD on the the women of this country.

  37. Allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative.

  38. Please let Daved Rosensweet, M.D. present to the NASEM Committee in person, with sufficient time to explain the many reasons why women and physicians are choosing compounded bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (cBHRT).
I am very troubled by the bias against compounded hormones that is apparent at the FDA. As the Committee at the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) has deliberated the clinical utility of compounded bioidentical hormones, far more presentation time has been given to those who have a negative view of compounded bioidentical hormones, than to professionals who presented evidence in favor of their use.
Given the apparent lack of expertise on the NASEM committee regarding these hormones, and of the treatment of menopause generally, it is imperative to give qualified experts who use, understand and support compounded bioidentical hormone therapy a fair chance to present their case. So far, the meetings have been heavily biased against responsible use of cBHRT.
Over the course of three meetings and more than a dozen hours of presentations, the Committee has heard mostly from those who share the FDA’s negative and highly critical position of cBHRT. At this point, I believe that the Committee does not have an accurate understanding of the clinical use of cBHRT to treat menopause– a shortcoming that must be addressed if the Committee is to reach a balanced, unbiased conclusion.
To help achieve that goal, I am asking that the FDA and the NASEM committee give Dr. Rosensweet (who was allowed a mere five minutes to present at the second meeting) sufficient time to educate the Committee about both the safety and the many benefits of compounded bioidentical hormones.
Dr. Rosensweet can educate committee members about a number of critical issues that are extremely relevant to the Committee’s mission–including what women experience during menopause, and what constitutes true Standard of Care with cBHRT menopause medicine.
The FDA and NASEM owe it to the millions of men and women who rely on these compounded hormones to stay healthy, to give a full hearing to Dr. Rosensweet, an expert on bioidentical hormone therapy. Please give him the chance to fully present his case, on behalf of the untold millions of citizens who will be greatly damaged if they are denied access to this valuable therapy.
Who are the FDA anyways? No 2 people are alike, everyone’s system is different, what works for one, may not work for another, who are you to tell US what we can & cannot put into our own bodies? The FDA has approved many DRUGS, FOODS, FOOD ENHANCERS, etc., that are causing more health problems, and KILLING us. The FDA is trying to control EVERYTHING about the FREE PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WE THE PEOPLE have the GOD GIVEN RIGHTS to decide what WE will put into our bodies, and what we REFUSE to put in our bodies! I PRAY AMERICA will wake up, & get rid of the FDA, with all of their HARMFUL rules & regulations, the FDA DOES NOT know what they are doing, and they need to go!

  39. Please protect compounded hormones and give Dr. Rosensweet more time and opportunities to present to the FDA and NASEM. Millions of women rely on compounded BHRT annually. The FDA SHOULD NOT move forward with a ban on compounded hormones. The FDA’s biased narrative is unduly influenced by big pharma greed and we are watching and we don’t like that the FDA is corrupted by big money.

  40. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative. It’s the right thing to do for women!

  41. BECAUSE WE ALL NEED TO BE IN THE BEST OF HEALTH IN BOTH MIND AND BODY EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR LIVES FOR ALL TIMES!!!

  42. BHRT is an essential component in my health plan. I tried synthetic estrogen and it didn’t go well. I tried going off hormone replacement altogether and that was really ugly. I am not alone. Many Americans need BHRT for wellness and I’m sick of the pharmaceutical industry’s continuous push to get rid of compounding. The FDA has a responsibility to the American people that is too often forgotten due to their close ties to the pharmaceutical industry. It’s time to do what’s right. Stop trying to eliminate compounding.

  43. AMERICA, HAS GREAT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL, NOT JUST A FEW.
I HAVE SEEN BHRT CHANGED PEOPLE’S LIVES FOR THE BETTER & CUT A LOT OF THE MISERY FROM IT.
LIVING A MORE PRODUCTIVE LIFE WITH BIO-IDENTICAL HORMONES, NOT CANCER CAUSING.
    DR J MASTRO

  44. The people of the USA need to have the freedom to use bio-identical hormones for optimal health. It seems we under more and more medical tyranny by having our freedoms in this arena taken away. Bio-identical hormones have been shown to work, to have way less side affects than synthetic hormones, and works better in the body. I urge you to keep these available for all who choose to use them.

  45. And for all of you old, fat white men who could truly use biodentical hormones & other safe products – give this to We The People & play nice for once. Remember – not one penny of your dirty money goes with you!

  46. Please let us keep our compounded bio identical hormones. In 2003 I had a major health crash and a mental break down. It took 6 months before I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. I have to take progesterone, testosterone, bi-est , DHEA all designed for me. I was 38 at the time. I need my hormones and many others do as well. I take them carefully and I am serious about keeping my physical, mental and spiritual heal in top shape to the best of my ability. Please don’t mess with this and let us get what we need from qualified physicians and compounding pharmacies.

  47. To the FDA and NASEM:
As a senior female who has used estriol in suppository form for more than 10 years, I am extremely concerned that the FDA and NASEM understand the use of this bioidentical hormone replacement which is compounded in a very reliable compound pharmacy in my area. I use estriol to allow satisfying sexual intimacy with my life partner, as well as a preventative for bladder and vaginal infections due to aging tissue. I use a very minimal amount with no side effects. Pharmaceutical products have not been satisfactory for me due to side effects. My pharmacy is extremely professional.
I understand that an expert in compounded BHRT, Dr. Rosensweet, was allowed to explain the use of BHRT in some detail at one of the recent FDA meetings. He was allowed only 5 minutes. Please allow him more time to give his expert testimony in future meetings.
    Thank you,
    Marjorie Ostle

  48. Evidence shows that FDA has a bias toward pharmaceutical companies because much of their funding comes from them even though their original intent was to protect the consumer. I implore the FDA to allow Dr. Rosensweet more time tp present his case for compounded BHRT, even though Big Pharma won’t like it. It’s time to consider the health of the public over the economic bottom line!

  49. Bio-identical hormones are safe and effective. The evidence is undeniable. As a citizen of the United States I have a right to choose how I wish to manage my health and that includes using a bio-identical hormone.

  50. I have been on BHRT for 14 years after a nervous breakdown from stress and surgical menopause. My liver seems to have metabolic and detox pathway abnormalities that are part of many migraine headache reactions. I do not tolerate many medications and supplements. It has been difficult to balance my hormone levels and small changes can send one or more hormone level plummeting with a whole cascade of emotional and mental fallout. Please don’t eliminate BHRT. I have used them without bad side effects. Synthetic drugs don’t work well on me. Don’t be controlled by big pharma dollars.Leave natural medicine alone!!!!

  51. Continued Access to Bioidentical Hormones is a necessity for those individuals whose health depends on them. They are safe & effective and to remain on the FDA list of approved medications.

  52. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT to counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative. Thank you.

  53. The time is now, we need to protect the natural treatments that heal our bodies without side effects like most medicines. We need the natural substances that are alike as the ones our bodies produce, lets vote out people that simply just want to profit from peoples needs.

  54. Until your in the position where a compounded medication is necessary you do not realize the importance of it. I urge you to allow more time to present the facts in this matter.

  55. I wonder I could help also: I am a biochemist who has done years of work on the molecular distinctions between bioidentical molecules and synthetic . I can defend the science. There is a world of difference between real progesterone and synthetic analogues, and significant biochemical reasons why women feel better on transdermal not oral ( prometrium- even though bioidentacal is not ideal.)
    see Phyllisbronsonphd.com

  56. I am one of the millions of women who rely on BHRT. It has enabled me to accomplish my professional goals as well improved my overal quality of life. Due to BHRT I now experience balanced hormones which in turn has improved my mental and physical health.
Please allow Dr. Rosensweet extra time to present the case. Let our full voice be heard.
    Thank you.

  57. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to make the case for compounded BHRT. His account will counterbalance the FDA’s biased one. Thank you.

  58. I am so disappointed with the determination to get rid of bio identical hormone replacement. I am a 59 year old post menopause woman and while I was peri menopause, my then Chief of OB-GYN could only offer me a one size fits all birth control and sleeping pills to help with the horrible effects of the hormone imbalance. I then went to see a doctor in another state and with my blood sample, was able to get on a bio identical hormone replace protocol that gave me 100% relief. I slept, I had a sex drive, I didn’t gain weight, I wasn’t crying all the time.- Once, I passed through that gate, I was off of them. Now, I use an over the counter progesterone cream and testosterone cream which keeps me youthful and happy. WHY would you want to remove the option of bio identical hormones other than it not being as big a finacinal gain for big Pharma? I get so disheartened by all the attempts in so many areas to keep the population sick. Why? I am asking you to give Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRT. I ask on behalf of all the women who, like me, need to depend on an alternative method rather then your sythetic standard of care. Kindly and respectfully.

  59. I am shocked at this movement to put a ban on compounded hormones. I have been on compound hormone cream since they became available. I will be 80 in April of next year. I do not have any gray hair. My skin is without wrinkles. My mind and voice is much younger than any person I know of my age. I have never had any menaposal symtoms at all. I was lucky to find a great female gynacologist when I was in my early sixties that wrote for me the RX for hormone cream. My mind is sharp and I know that the hormone cream that I use each day is a big factor in that my body & mind are not aging at the rate of all the women my age around me. I almost always get the opportunity to ask their age and they are almost always quite a few years younger than me but look, sound and act much older. There is only good reasons for compound hormones to be available. We women can make the choice of uncomfortable aging or aging with healthy grace by being able to have a choice whether we want to use compound hormones or not. They are safe and so so valuable to our health and well being. We are entitled to have a choice on what we do with our bodies. Why would you think you could make that decision for us?

  60. The FDA has bigger fish to fry. It should be much more focused on getting Big Interest, aka Big Pharma, out of its wallet!

  61. I’m a compounding pharmacist and have personally seen bio identical hormones benefit hundreds if not thousands of men and women!

  62. Let me choose! I know my body better than anyone. Help me but don’t limit me!

  63. Woman need to have choices in there lives, and to be able to choose what beat works for them and there bodies.

  64. Dr. Rosensweet is a very knowledgeable man that has put many hours into studying and researching BHRT. Please let him speak for millions of women, who have benefited from BHRT. My life has truly changed since I have started taking BHRT.

  65. Please allow Dr. Rosensweet more time to present the case for compounded BHRTto counterbalance the FDA’s biased narrative. Thank you.

  66. Bioidentical hormone replacement works!! Please make sure we can get the natural health care that we need and preferably be covered by Medicare and insurance!

  67. Pls allow myu fear friend Carolyne to continue to take her cBHRT — the difference in her is amazing – night and day. I have been her boss for the past five years and when I met her she could barely function – she would have to leave the ofice to go home to go to bed at 2pm daily – she literally had no energy not to mention – he memory was nonexistent and her hot ashes were so severe that if was difficult to both watch helplessly and allow her to shoe our tenants apartments in that state. She often cried for no apparent reason and was suffering horribly. She tried very hard to explain menopause to me and I did understand some but not fully. I saw how hard she worked to try to get help. Finally she would meet the amazing functional medicine hormone specialists who put her onto compounded bio identical hormones that she took via holistic organic oils and this entire year since she has been on them I am dealing with a bright, happy and feeling well woman who is truly a joy to be around. The change to me is astonishing and my own girlfriend will do same when her time comes. To take these hormones away from her, or any woman would be so cruel to do – the quality Carolyne’s life was awful and I saw it and I was powerless to help. Now she feels great — she is active, swims, laughs and is a great person daily to have around absolutely — these compounded bio identical hormones have made lal the difference in the world for her and for al of us who care so o much for her. TY so much! Terry Martin Burbank Oaks Apartments Sherman Oaks, CA 91401

  68. Time & again the FDA does not act in the public interest. The only Rx’s I’ve ever had reactions from are chemically made synthetic ones. America is waking up to the value of NATURAL solutions. We need an FDA Board that is AWAKE & TRUTHFUL and acts in the interest of the American Public. Thank you!

  69. Left a long comment and am trying to see if it goes though — my co-worker suffered many yrs until able to take cBHRT and for the past year is a new woman. To take these hormones away from her would be simply awful for her as she was barely functioning — her life is wonderful now, It was as if she were a half a person before and left work to go to bed at 2pm daily and cried a lot and her joints hurt and she was just miserable and she also had NO memory at all — now I work with a happy and healthy women who laughs a lot and swims and is a completely different person. To take these hormones away would be really cruel I feel. I am a man and not in menopause and am really happy about that fr sure as what I saw her go through the 6 yrs I have worked with her was for her pure hell and I was helpless to do anything — she works very closely with Dr. Daved Rosensweet and it is my belief that he saved her life.

  70. My BHRT compounded hormone therapy has been a blessing. The synthetic hormones did not give me the results I enjoy now. There is a big difference in feeling well on BHRT. The synthetics did not make a difference in my case. Postmenopausal women especially need a array of options to feel well and vital. One size does not fit all, especially in women. Give, Dr. Rosensweet more time to help the FDA understand the vital benefits compounding offers to many women. Recent, drugs developed for low-sex drive in women Addyi and Vyleesi are great steps, but are focused on premenopausal women, postmenopausal women need many options to address their needs. Compounded BHRT is a very vital component to many women’s health and well being. The FDA needs to listen well to the users of these products.

  71. BHRT has helped me to maintain bone health as I am post-menopausal and have osteoporosis. Some of the other options available to me have made me feel unwell and the BHRT has been without side effects and I feel strong and healthy.
Please give weight to all of the anecdotal accounts of how our lives have benefitted from the BHRT along with all of the information that Dr. Rosensweet is providing to the FDA.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
