At the behest of the telecoms industry, the FCC is trying to update an old rule in a way that would allow industry to turn consenting private residences into cell towers. It is another way in which the FCC and industry are undermining the ability of local communities to decide how and whether 5G technology gets implemented, and we have to fight back.
The OTARD rule, an acronym for “over the air reception device,” was adopted as part of the 1996 Telecommunications Act. This rule prohibits local municipalities from restricting the installation of satellite dish antennas and other antennas on private residences for reception of TV signals. This rule was amended in 2002 to allow for signal transmission, but with the caveat that the antenna had to be used primarily for the use of the tenant or homeowner.
This rule has never been applied to the use of antennas to transmit signals to others in one’s neighborhood. What started off as a pro-consumer measure has now been fashioned into a bludgeon for industry to avoid accountability and local oversight.
At industry prompting, the FCC has proposed a change to the OTARD rule that would cover wireless “hubs.” This would allow the industry to turn people’s homes into cell towers, and since this would be done on private property, it effectively circumvents the need for companies to meet local zoning and environmental requirements. If your neighbor agrees to accept a fee and turn their home into a cell tower, you could do nothing about it. The limited tools that citizens have to keep dangerous levels of microwave radiation out of their neighborhoods would disappear.
This is a critical health and safety issue, yet astoundingly little has been done to understand the human health implications of 5G deployment. There are no independent safety studies about the safety of 5G. During a Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee hearing, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) asked members of the FDA and FTC if any studies were being conducted on the safety of 5G. At the end of the exchange, Blumenthal concluded, “So there really is no research ongoing. We’re kind of flying blind here, as far as health and safety is concerned.”
The comment period for this proposal has closed, and all indications are that the FCC will move forward. We must generate grassroots pressure on the FCC and on Capitol Hill opposing this and other actions that are undermining our ability to check the telecoms industry and 5G expansion.
This isn’t the only way in which cronyism undermines our health. The FDA and the FTC are actively working to keep information from the public about how natural medicine can help protect us from COVID-19 infection. We must oppose these assaults on our freedoms.

I vehemently oppose any change to the OTARD rule. It benefits no one but the telecom industry, and could significantly threaten our health.
I do not consent to these towers of destruction,. When will proper testing and information ever be released to the public.
Do not allow the industry to circumvent local zoning and environmental requirements by turning people’s homes into cell towers. The jurisdiction of local governments are inherent to the structure and function of our Republic. The OTARD rule overrides the constitutionally granted tools that citizens have to regulate the levels of microwave radiation in their neighborhoods.

Sounds like a political bill adding other things into the primary petition. Don’t like it.
I definitely support ANH, and have continued to sign their petitions. But why is it they are now repetitious, but come disguised under different heading, but yet if you bother to read them, they are the same petitions………..

“The fact is” is repeated and shouldn’t there be a “no” in front of “safety”?

I oppose changes to the OTARD rule. It is criminal that no environmental and health impact studies for 3/4/5G have been undertaken on the local or state level and that known studies have not been made available to the public. It is well known damage is caused by non ionizing radiation to human DNA and mitochondrial function. Allowing continued proliferation and refusing to limit levels here in the US will create a wasteland. Is that the intention? At all levels of government this needs to be stopped. Please notice Switzerland and Belgium have backed out. They typically recommend biotech, chemical and telecom interventions for other countries they see as ethnically inferior, but refrain from exposing their own people to most toxins -even some they make, ie. Atrazine.
Private property is not the place for cell towers. The public should always have the right to give feedback on exposure to cell towers or consent, and forced exposure without consent is unacceptable, since this will go over onto others’ property, and violates basic private property rights and needs to maintain boundaries. Do not allow this power grab driven by greed that compromises the rights and health of private property owners and residents.
Please do not let this pass. We need to have regulations in order to safely implement wireless towers. Thank you.
5G has not been proven safe Biological tests indicate it is not safe. Current testing standards do not take into account biological tests such as seen in the Bioinitiatives Reports. I would not want to make my house into an antenna.

These criminals have weaponized everything: Monsanto’d food, fluoridated water, chemtrailed air in our skies, allopathic medicine that keeps people sick, pHARMaceutical drugs, neurotoxic vaccines, common core “educational” system, propaganda media, violent video games for our kids, hyper-sexualization of children, wi-fi, wireless everything, normalizing sick values, predictive programming in their movies, using politics and social engineering to divide people, rewriting existing laws to exonerate themselves for their crimes, showing pornography on TV, mind controlling the population with frequencies and on and on. By allowing neighbors to put cell towers on their roofs is another way to divide people and pit them against one another. This outrageous violation of the sanctity of human life and one’s home cannot be allowed to happen.
I live up on a hill the cell tower is in a ditch 1000 feet away I’m in the dire t path of the emmissions in the line of site and other rf emf emmitting devises they were not there when I first put my down payment 22 years ago the devises accumulated over time. Now overdosed on rf/ emf waves I’ve had a reacurring infection around my skull for 3 years due to metal in my teeth being a conductor for wireless electricity and am a cell tower refugee from my home n land of 22 years. Even tho I’ve been inquiring about and seeking help have not been able to get any just denials.
