New Fed Vax Database Threatens Privacy

A new bill is moving through Congress that brings us closer to a national vaccine database telling the government whether you’re vaccinated. Action Alert!

HR 550, the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act of 2021, was approved by the House of Representatives late in November. While many of its provisions may sound innocuous, this bill creates a slippery slope to the government invading the medical privacy of citizens in the pursuit of higher vaccination rates, future vaccine mandates, and further limits on the freedom of the unvaccinated. This legislation must be opposed.

The bill would spend $400 million to modernize state “immunization information systems” which, we are told, are confidential, population-based databases that maintain a record of vaccine administrations. Crucially, the bill incentivizes states to standardize their immunization databases following CDC guidelines, which of course is the first step to combining them all into one national database. We’re told by the bill’s sponsors not to worry, that no national database is created by the bill, but the writing is clearly on the wall. Putting everything into the CDC’s language is an obvious prelude to further federal control and monitoring of this information.

The fact that President Biden’s current Health Secretary Xavier Becerra said that “it is absolutely the government’s business” to know people’s vaccination status does not inspire confidence that this bill will not be used to further the government’s vaccination program, Americans’ privacy be damned.

This bill would improve the ability of state and local governments to target the unvaccinated and strip citizens of their bodily autonomy. It could be used to identify the unvaccinated to restrict services, including healthcare, to these individuals. The bill’s sponsor says that bill will allow the government to send reminders to patients when they are due for a vaccine or a booster. There is a danger that this could be expanded to other health services: reminders to see the dentist, to get a regular physical, refill your prescription, etc. The opportunities for abuse are too many to list: what if health insurance rates go up for, or care is denied to, those who don’t follow the federal government’s “reminders”? Americans should never be required to allow the government access to private medical information. Fill out the form below to oppose this bill.

  1. I take exception to this article. WE are in the middle of a pandemic. I am immune compromised and it will surely spell a horrible experience and likely death if I caught this or any of it’s variants. I have been isolated for two years now and counting. Why? Because the general population all of a sudden has decided that vaccines are infringing on their rights. Well I am here to say that those who refuse to get vaccinated for the welfare of the general public is infringing on our rights. Therefore, if I should step out and risk a run to the grocery and that person who is standing over the open produce with his mask down to his chin( yes it happened) isn’t vaccinated I want to know that. This is being driven not by our government who is merely reacting to protect the larger population but it is being driven by all those special people who seem to think they are better than the rest of us all of a sudden.

  2. My 34 year old son is DEAD, and it appears he was murdered by Phizer Pharmaceuticals, through those shots they call ‘vaccines’. Not only that, but I have been greatly harmed by my childhood vaccines, I am sure of it.

  3. I signed the petition. We cannot allow this to happen, as it will be the first step towards even more restrictions, rules and regulations, thus taking even more of our freedom away. I love the new format! So much easier to read. Thank you for all the hard work you do in keeping us informed:) Best wishes for light, peace and TRUTH in the coming year and beyond …

  4. They will start with this medical database mandate/requirement then add other NON-MEDICAL items like a firearms ownership and whatever else they DEMAND/REQUIRE!!

  5. But I already receive reminders from my PCP’ office, and local pharmacy that I’m due a vaccine for this or that, despite never having had one since I came to this country 16 years ago. In my city and possibly in the entire state the medical fraternity has already put into practice an online chart listing all my medical information/conditions etc. which is theoretically “private” but visible to every practitioner I choose to consult with. How will HR550 make this situation more intrusive?

  6. Government overreach. No central databases. Keep private information in the hands of individuals not government at any level or their agencies.

  7. We all should have the right to keep our medical information private. HIPAA assures that and that must remain the law including for vaccines. If one believes a vaccine protects you from a disease, then there is no reason another person needs to be vaccinated. That vaccine does not protect you.
