GE Salmon Ruled Unlawful

This is a major victory for American consumers. Action Alert!
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California has ruled that the FDA violated environmental laws in approving genetically engineered (GE) salmon. This is a major victory, especially considering that, given the sham GE food labeling law that Congress passed, the GE salmon would not be required to have clear labeling that it was genetically altered.
The crux of the court’s decision is that the FDA did not adequately consider the environmental risks of GE salmon. When GE salmon escape into the environment, the GE species could threaten wild and endangered salmon species through cross-breeding or outperforming endangered species for scarce resources and habitat.
The approval of GE salmon would make the issue of transgenic contamination—when GE species contaminate non-GE plants or animals—even worse. This has already cost farmers millions of dollars over the years when organic crops are contaminated by GE crops.
If the approval of GE salmon wasn’t bad enough, the sham labeling bill would allow companies to hide the fact that the salmon was genetically altered in a scannable QR code which few consumers ever use. Cronyism is at the center of this: Congress caved to Big Food, which has a vested interest in keeping Americans in the dark about the contents of food.
This is just one way that cronyism is threatening our health: we’ve also been telling you about the federal government’s censorship of doctors who try to inform the public about natural ways of preventing and treating COVID-19 infection. We must fight back against the many ways in which government cronyism prevents us from using clean, organic foods and inexpensive natural medicines to stay healthy.

  1. Note that the GE Salmon Ruled Unlawful webpage Take Action button opens a webpage related to COVID-19 issues, not to GE salmon issues!
Note also that when attempting to post this message, the website said “You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down.”

  2. My brother who is living in Canada told me that all the Salmon he eats is farmed. He said the oil industry pretty much destroyed all the streams that grow the salmon in western Canada.
Is that true of the East coast of Canada (Nova Scotia etc.) as well?
What about us in the U.S.?

  3. This is crooked there is NO reason to remove supplements from the general public that are healthy for all!!!
No one in there right mind would think this is right OR just I’m hoping Biden be s not another Trump in disguise taking from the people instead of other available resources!

  4. GE salmon is disgusting and I would wager politicians don’t eat it they only eat the finest and the best and throw the crap to the people!!!
I am so tired of this type of unfair business going on in the world!
Selling this salmon is not right nor just and is likely the worst customer service ever!!!?
    Unacceptable.

  5. News media will not allow any reports exposing the gov corruption and wrongly blaming Pres Trump. Covid is a fear weapon.
20% real. 80% exaggerated. Bankrupting American people.
Never did we shut for Swine. Ebola. Common flu.
H1N3 hong kong flu killed millions and never was there a mask requirement or churchs closed or singing in churchs banned.
    God will expose them.

    1. You got that right Pat. I completely agree. Covid-19 case numbers are highly inflated and exaggerated, and approximately 33% of tests are false-positive. Never in any past flu or virus epidemic were we told to wear masks everywhere we go, distance ourselves from others, avoid gatherings, the closing of schools, restaurants and other businesses. We all should wonder what’s going on here. I’ll tell you what’s going on. This is about manipulation and control of the population. Attempting to coerce us to loosen our values about privacy, personal freedoms, and civil liberties. It’s the beginning of the coming technocratic, Great Reset, and the Build Back Better agenda. Hmm… who’s campaign slogan is that?

  7. Reform our healthcare system that bars and undermines natural options like homeopathic medicine.

  8. Leave the homeopathic industry alone. If you want more oversight, then do that but don’t restrict without firm evidence as to why it is deemed harmful.
