We had to sue the FDA for this info. Act now.

The FDA is censoring speech at the expense of
consumers’ health. Enough is enough—it’s time for
concrete action. Donate now!

Dear Readers:

Recently, I asked for your help to raise $40,000: the FDA is shredding free speech to limit supplement access, and we need your support to file legal petitions—the first step to suing the FDA for this double threat to your rights. Hundreds have responded generously, but we still need your help!

You may be wondering: “Why should I donate? What difference will it make?”

To answer these important questions, I want to share an example of the incredible impact thousands of individuals can have when they stand together with ANH-USA.

It’s a well-known fact that folate or folic acid supplementation for pregnant women is vital, as it can prevent serious neural tube birth defects. But did you know the FDA tried to keep this important information from consumers, and fought so hard against it that we had to sue them?

In 2000, ANH-USA and renowned constitutional lawyer Jonathan Emord sued the FDA because they were forbidding makers of folate/folic acid supplements to claim that intake by pregnant women may prevent certain birth defects. We won, and now health claims concerning folate/folic acid are allowed on supplement labels.

This illustrates three things:

  • How far FDA will go to censor free speech. The FDA will go to great lengths to suppress scientific speech concerning dietary supplements. They seem to want to maintain Big Pharma’s monopoly at the expense of consumers.
  • It’s not just the First Amendment at stake. Since this victory, we’ve seen an increase in the number of pregnant women taking a folate supplement—and, more importantly, a decrease in neural tube birth defects! Like this victory, our new petitions to the FDA will have a real impact on countless families.
  • When we unite, we can stand up to the “Powers that Be”—and win. We’re continuing with ANH-USA’s winning legal strategy, with a twist: this time we’re pursuing multiple petitions and multiple angles—including a challenge to the FDA’s entire health claim system.

This summer, you have a new opportunity to change lives. We’ve won before, and we can win again—but only with your help. Won’t you be a part of this historic battle?

Your donation will be 100% tax deductible— every single penny goes straight to the Natural Health Alliance Foundation, the charity that supports ANH-USA’s legal projects. Any size gift will make a huge difference— $5, $50, $500, or more.

The need is great—please give generously!

On behalf of ANH-USA, thank you—we deeply appreciate your activism and generosity. I personally promise that your hard-earned cash will be put to the best use possible: to defend your freedom of speech and your freedom to make informed health decisions.

With gratitude for your continued support,

Liz Ardagna Membership Director, ANH-USA

P.S.: Want to honor a friend or loved one? Make a gift in honor of someone who inspires you to fight for what’s right, and we’ll let your honoree know that you’ve made a commitment to protect natural health in his or her name. Many thanks!

  1. The FDA seems to be working against the American people most of the time.
What’s with that agency? Why is it part of the Federal Government. It seems to be all about and for major corporate interests.

  2. Will you please sue the FDA for not only allowing petroleum products in food as stabilizers, preservatives, etc, but allowing them to be there with no labeling. It seems wrong to me that a product can be packaged and sold labeled “all natural” and contain petroleum distillates.
If a product contains tocopherol, how do we know what form it was derived from?
