Recently, ANH-USA Vice President and national radio host Deborah Ray, MT (ASCP) sat down to interview Shauna Young, PhD, CTN, CBS, OSJ. ANH-USA is pleased to make this informative and inspirational conversation available to our readers.
Dr. Young, a certified naturopath, is the Owner and Medical Director of the Assertive Wellness Research Center of Durango, CO. At her clinic, she consults with clients from around the world who suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorders with a groundbreaking nutrition-based approach she calls the Spectrum Balance Protocol. She is the Chief Medical Advisor for the NoHarm Foundation, a Colorado not-for-profit organization formed to educate the public about the Spectrum Balance Protocol and its successful applications.
In addition to her pioneering Spectrum Balance Protocol work, Dr. Young serves the autism and natural health communities in a number of other capacities, including as a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Allergy Kids Foundation and the Advisory Board for the Colorado Chapter of the Coalition for Natural Health, and as Chairperson of the Legislative & Legal Fund of the Colorado Naturopathic Medical Association. In February of 2008 she was also knighted into the international Sovereign Medical Order of the Knights Hospitaller in recognition of the unique impact of her work with Autism and for positively advancing the field of natural medicine in general.

  2. Thank you, We really need to solve our Autism problem. Autism is the canary in our egregious HHS and Medical Industry coal mine.
    Doctor Deborah Ray seems to have a very important piece of the autism puzzle.
    I have been working on solving autism for decades. Here are the only things I am 100% sure of.
    o Autism is a human created problem and can be solved by humans. HHS is not human.
    o Autism is a multi-factorial problem
    o HHS and the Medical Industry has totally failed us in dealing honestly with and treating autism.
    o Individual independent doctors and just common motivated citizens are making the only real progress in autism.
    o HHS and the Medical Industry KNOW and are covering up critical autism evidence
    o If you delay ALL “vaccination” until 4 years of age you will decrease the risk of autism in your precious flesh and blood by at least 1000% – 4000%. IMO you need NEVER “vaccinate”. There is NO clinical evidence it EVER works.
    Speaking of gut problems.
    “John O’Leary, PhD a world-class researcher and molecular biologist from Ireland, using state of the art sequencing technology, showed how he had found measles virus in the gut of 96% of autistic children, compared to 6.6% of normal children. This virus did not come from the natural disease; it came from the measles vaccine.”
    “Children with neurological disorders are often suffering from severe gastrointestinal distress and inflammation. A trigger of this inflammation and the resultant behaviors is the MMR vaccine.” Fourteen Studies

    “Vaccinations have been developed, originally, for children with perfectly healthy immune systems,” she says. “GAPS children are NOT fit to be vaccinated with the standard vaccination protocol.” Note Doctor Natasha recommends NO vaccines until the infant is tested and found to be NOT GAPS, then vaccination can be CONSIDERED, if the infant has GAPS NO vaccines until the infant’s GAPS condition is completely gone.

  3. My son who is developing normal till he is 1 year old and started regress after that. My son who is almost 4 years now is suffering from ASD. I think there must be a link with the MMR vaccine. My son is severely hyperactive too without any fear of danger. A month ago he fell from first floor which is 12 feet from the concrete ground, but with the bless of God he is unhurt not even a scratch or a fractured bone. He is leaving in his own world. He cannot speak too. As a father it is very hard to cope such behavior. As we live in a small city where we don’t have facilities for counseling or the like,it is really a very challenging task. So my humble request to all the online community that i need your suggestion and your valuable advise.

  4. Deborah Ray, I live in Fla…I would like to speak with you personally since you have a deep concern for kids who are autstic….I 3 grandchildren 2 girls and 1 boy….all in Fla. girl is now 14, boy 11, girl 6 1/2. My nuimbe is 850. 386.8019 home 850. 443.5554 cell….
